Windows OneCare failed to initiate

When I log on Windows OneCare failes to initiate (OxC 0000005). What can I
do to address this problem and run Windows OneCare? Same happens with
windows messenger. I have XP and got the programs from QWest.

Run chkdsk/f and reinstall.

Since the programs were provided via download from Qwest, you should contact
Qwest for support in getting both programs running.

Re: Windows OneCare failed to initiate

The Qwest OneCare solution was to send me here. I will try and run chkdsk/f
and see how that goes.

Re: Windows OneCare failed to initiate

That was an unacceptable response from Qwest. They offer OneCare for free
because they agree to provide support for the product. Windows Live Messenger,
being free already, I can understand sending you here, but Windows Live OneCare
is a subscription product that they must support.
Please call them back to work on the OneCare problem.
