| | Microsoft is misleading things inside Live Inside Live Messenger, Microsoft is misleading people to lure them to their other stuff. Latest example for that is the link on the bottom of a Live Messenger chat window. It says (translated from Dutch): "Kim says: just did see your Space, very cool photographs!" ... when clicking that, it is just a link to spaces.live.com. Just plain misleading like Micro$oft is doing with so many other things :-( I think it's sad that they go so low since Live Messeger is really a cool product. -- Menno ===================== My 3D Art can be seen on http://www.3dart4u.com http://tinyurl.com/c8g96 (3DCommune) http://brycetest.3dart4u.com (Bryce Speed Test) ===================== Remove nospam in mail address when mailing me |

| | Re: Microsoft is misleading things inside Live Hi, Before the wide scale advertising that we've all come to enjoy within Microsoft/MSN/Live properties and services, Messenger was considered solely as a base to to sell other Microsoft products (and push people to Hotmail). I guess it's debatable if this particular one is misleading or not. It's pretty harmless compared to some of the other things I've seen in that area of the window. -- Jonathan Kay Microsoft MVP - Windows Live Messenger MSN Messenger/Windows Messenger MessengerGeek Blog: http://www.messengergeek.com Messenger Resources: http://messenger.jonathankay.com (c) 2008 Jonathan Kay - If redistributing, you must include this signature or citation -- "TheCroW" <news@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:13qbqi4ibsum1b4@xxxxxx-ams.supernews.com... | | Re: Microsoft is misleading things inside Live Ok, it is harmless (but totally misleading) .... yet, there is this wellknown virus/trojan, the one where you are invited to see a photo from someone? I find this confusing then if something along the same line is put in there, in that bottom part, by Microsoft itself.
