Hi - I can log into live messenger with my login but my daughter can't, and
my wife can't. Same computer. they both get error 81000378, but I log in
just fine. any thoughts? been through all the steps, but can't get one of
the DLLs to register.

Usually this error indicates that there is a temporary problem accessing one of the databases
that stores your account. This is usually server-side and usually only affecting a small
number of accounts, which is why yours worked but the rest of your family couldn't.

It sounds like it's resolved now.
