Incoming video blocked?

I just downloaded the most current WLM on a new Vista machine

I can send video and audio successfully and can receive the incoming audio
but for some reason I am not seeing the incoming video?

I am picking up the incoming audio assoc w that connection?

Where should I start to chk for trouble shooting this?
At my end or the senders end?

Thanks!

Re: Incoming video blocked?

Greetings,

Are you just seeing blackness then? If so, as a starting point, you should verify with your
contact that they've gone through the Audio and video setup and correctly chosen their video
input device as they may have others that Messenger is using (like a TV tuner for instance).
One can get to the setup by pressing the Alt key on the keyboard to bring up the menubar,
then Tools, then Audio and video setup.

Additionally, instead of using the video call you can actually have them send you just their
webcam video for testing. To do so, use the Alt key to bring up the menubar in your
conversation window, click Actions then Video, then View a contact's webcam.
