| | Re: why does Windows live Messenger slow down my processes Greetings, Well, Windows Live Messenger does have a performance cost while it's running for a variety of reasons. Although on a typical PC, it is pretty minimal and not really noticeable As a sort of workaround, you might consider uninstalling Windows Live Messenger and using MSN Messenger 7.0 instead: http://microsoft.com/downloads/detai...4-9505f47bed45 It supports nearly everything Live Messenger does and the performance should be much better. -- Jonathan Kay Microsoft MVP - Windows Live Messenger MSN Messenger/Windows Messenger MessengerGeek Blog: http://www.messengergeek.com Messenger Resources: http://messenger.jonathankay.com (c) 2008 Jonathan Kay - If redistributing, you must include this signature or citation -- "sunny marky" <sunnymarky@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:66A448DB-155F-4C52-8E8B-9BE1DD27EF2A@xxxxxx Quote: > I am finding that when I have windows Live Messenger running on my PC windows > XP , the internet web browsing is slower , to such an extent that I now only > use Web messenger.
