Video Calling in Messenger 8.5

Hello,

I have an issue with sending and receiving video calls in WLM.

I know my camera is working as I can see the picture, but when a contact
accepts a video call or even just tries to view my webcam it takes a minute
or so before it eventually says "XXX has stopped viewing webcam with you".
The contact has the same problem their end too (so I can't see their webcam
either). Both parties have checked firewall settings and they are A-OK. We
can have a voicecall without video with no problems but as soon as you try
and introduce video the above happens.

I'm running Vista on a Toshiba laptop which has an inbult web cam and mic.

Appreciate your help/advice.

RE: Video Calling in Messenger 8.5

This issue has been resolved by uninstalling WLM 8.5 and installing WLM 8.1.

Even though the person who I video call has WLM 8.5 (and still has it
installed), for some reason changing the version on my PC did the trick...
strange!
