How do you make the leap from a web mail service being down to it being a
Vista problem?

Re: Outage leaves many Hotmail users cold

Hello...

it seems that there is some sort of trend to make low quality products and
services..

this trend happened after XPSP2, and to be exact, everything started with
the release of vista.

Havent you heard that MS is trying to buy Yahoo.. if they like it or not!
Force takeover!

If their LIVE web services were so great why would they need yahoo for?

MS knows that after vista they are in trouble.. they cant seem to get
anything right...

Whatever success they are having is because of their past... but in the
computer world
things change rapidly... and if you make too many mistakes you are out of
the game.

On

The point is that you are posting 'off topic' threads here. Yes, you are
capable of posting some helpful messages, but these are nullified if you are
going to bury the helpful posts with FUD.

Re: Outage leaves many Hotmail users cold

I strongly disagree. Of course you are incorrect.

First of all my post is very helpful since people who are reading this are
being informed
that there is a general problem since many cannot log into live messenger or
use other live products
that are actually programs.

Microsoft wants to integrate the web services and the desktop as much as
possible
knowing that the cloud is the future. Practically your use as an MVP will
vanish very soon
there will be no "desktop experience". Everything will be integrated on the
web, with a very light skeleton OS driving the web based enviorment. Yes you
will become extinct like a dinosaur.
Having Windows Live Mail and live messenger as applications that integrate
with the live sites
as well as foldershare I think my posts are very relavent.

Being a netnanny is highly unadvisable and I frown on such attempts.

I suggest you run along and try to pick on someone who has your IQ or lower.

Re: Outage leaves many Hotmail users cold

X-Posting removed.

I was having a problem logging into the Live services today, so I subscribed
to this newsgroup, to see if any info was flowing?

I get the fact that others are having the same problem, so now I know that
it is not my set-up causing the failure.

Why do children not go to bed early like I was made to do?

Yes, this was why I posted

for the exact reason you stated.. I knew people would be coming in here
trying to see if it was their systems or the live servers

Re: Outage leaves many Hotmail users cold

I appreciate your post OnTheBridge...before this I went to Vista tech site and was told it was MY problem..either too little RAM (yea brand new laptop with 3 gig RAM). Then they told another person with the exact same problem with Hotmail freezes that it was her AVG antivirus program and suggested she get a new program. How about if they just say "Vista is messing up Hotmail..we don't know why..but we're working on it". I'd appreciate a little honesty. I've had XP since it came out and really hesitated to buy this computer with Vista installed..my fears are being realized.
