Not Showing up.

Ok I have been using MSN for quite a while now. then all of a sudden I try to
log in by clicking the balloon on the bottom of my desktop. Nothing happens.
So I go to my task manager and it says that it is running but I don't see it
anywhere. I have avast as my firewall but I, again, have used MSN and Avast
Together for 4 years now. This problem has only been recent. I haven't even
upgraded the version yet. Any suggestions?????

I'm not sure which "balloon" you mean per se. Do you actually see the Messenger icon (the
little green guy) in the notification area (by the clock) and if so, can you right-click him
and choose Sign In?
