pending requests

Hi, I keep getting notification that there is a pending request. When I
click on it and decline and also tick the box saying block the applicant I
keep getting told that the pending request service is unavailable. Can
anyone please advise what action I should take. Thanks

Re: pending requests

Hello Jonathan Kay

When I go to the 'pending requests' URL directly and try to decline and
block I get the same response - pending requests not available . The Pending
Requests service is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later.
The problem is I keep trying and I always get the same response so I
wondered whether there was a long-standing problem with the service or with
me lol!
Thanks for trying to help :-)

Re: pending requests

-- Hi again Jonathan
Forgot to mention that when I clicked on the links (in the auto reply email)
to either read and rate the response or to continue to receive notifications
for this thread neither of them took me anywhere and I thought I should
mention that.

Thanks

Re: pending requests

Hi again Jonathan,

Have you had an opportunity to check out my 'pending request' problem
please? It appears whenever I log back into Messenger and the response
continues to be the same. It says that the 'Pending Requests service is
temporarily unavailable'. Would appreciate any further advice you can give
me. Thanks and have a good day

Re: pending requests

Hi,

My only real suggestions would be to clear your browser's cache and cookies (in Internet
Explorer, this can by done by clicking the Tools menu, then Internet Options, and the Delete
button -- assuming you're using the latest version), trying another browser (say FireFox --
www.getfirefox.com) or another computer.

Re: pending requests

Jonathan,

Have cleared IE cache and cookies - rebooted and logged back into Messenger
and the same thing occurs so problem is not fixed. I continue to get the
response that the 'Pending Requests service is temporarily unavailable'. You
have not said whether that is in fact the case or not and I have no idea how
to check into that further which is why I am asking you again - sorry! I do
not have another computer which I can try and I am using the latest IE.

I am not sure whether I should be expecting a response to my last post and
wonder whether you have any further information for me as the problem
continues to exist. Thanks

Re: pending requests

Hi,
I know that you're trying to help but the offered solution just don't work
(they also seem to be missing the point, as in - why this problem occurs in
the first place). You would hope that any new functionality introduced would
..... well, work.

Suggest you read my more recent post headed 'continuing PENDING REQUEST
problem on Page 1. Jonathan suggested I escalate the problem as you would
have read and I have received a response which is contained in the other
thread. Frustrating though it is - at least something is being done to sort
out the problem even if it takes some time.
