Display Picture Location

You know how Windows Live Messenger 8.5.1302.1018 allows you change your
display picture to things like a chess piece, a rubber duck, palm trees,
etc? Does anyone know the folder where these pictures are stored? I'm
running Windows XP Home SP2.

Thanks,
Shane.

Re: Display Picture Location

Hello, in XP they are stored in
C:\Documents and Settings\<YOUR WINDOWS USER NAME>\Local
Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Messenger\<YOUR MSN USER
NAME>\ObjectStore\UserTile

The .dt2-files are the images, you can drag them to a browser window to
look at them.

If you can't see the Local Settings folder, in explorer choose
Tools/Folder Options/View in Advanced settings: choose "Show hidden
files and folders".
