Vista - Weird Signing in Problem with Windows Live Messenger 8.5

Hello

I'm using Windows XP SP2 OS. My Acer laptop has Intel dual core 1.6 GHz.
I've got Windows Live Messenger 8.5 with me. Now the weird problem with it is
that, its not even signing me in and throwing this error code:80072745 each
time I try to log into it.
Now, interestingly, there is nothing wrong with my internet connection,
'coz I'm not only able to easily surf and browse sites but also been chatting
leisurely on Yahoo!, Skype and GTalk, and that too voice chats.
And more over, I'm being able to log into the same messenger with other
live ID!
And if I log in through, the normal windows messenger(v4.7), it lets me
in quite smoothly and in jiffies!
So whats wrong with the Windows Live Messenger?

This was long ago thought to be fixed, but give it a try anyway by downloading and running
this .reg file:
http://messenger.jonathankay.com/dow...lmpolicies.reg

Then restart Messenger and try again.
