Dumb Question (I'm sure) re: Messenger Contacts

Hi,
I just installed Live Messenger. Trying to add a contact that is NOT .msn
or .live.
Is that possible?
Thanks!
(I had root canal this morning so I'm sure it's the drugs making me foggy)

Re: Dumb Question (I'm sure) re: Messenger Contacts

Greetings,

Yes, Live IDs can be any e-mail address (with some exceptions for certain addresses that have
been reserved). If the user doesn't have a Live ID setup on whatever address you enter,
you'll be prompted to send them an e-mail so they can easily create one.
