Won't save chat history if shut down "improperly"

If messenger is shut down by another process, the conversation history
is not saved. Could this bug be fixed or is it also of too low a priority?

    Greetings,

We've been complaining about this since the day the feature showed up in the beta builds.
Unfortunately there hasn't been much traction on it.

However, if you use Messenger Plus! Live (www.msgplus.net), it's logging feature not only
saves messages as they come in but also in full-featured HTML format with emoticons,
handwriting, and all the standard richness of a Messenger conversation.
