| | contactcoll.cache in Contacts folder? Hi! I use the Vista Contacts folder a lot, and I try to keep Live Messenger/Live Mail contacts seperate. I know Messenger adds contacts to that folder in a hidden folder, but I still have a contactcoll.cache file in the main Contacts folder. I don't know what this does, but is it okay to set it's attribute to Hidden? Thanks! |

| | Re: contactcoll.cache in Contacts folder? Hi, Just to add, what version of Messenger are you using? In 8.5 the contactcoll should be in that hidden folder (or is that what you meant)? Regardless, it'll still work fine hidden. -- Jonathan Kay Microsoft MVP - Windows Live Messenger MSN Messenger/Windows Messenger MessengerGeek Blog: http://www.messengergeek.com Messenger Resources: http://messenger.jonathankay.com (c) 2008 Jonathan Kay - If redistributing, you must include this signature or citation -- "Jonathan Kay [MVP]" <msnewsreplies@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:3806FE94-CFD5-4DD9-A3F8-E2C9A0158D32@xxxxxx Quote: > Greetings, > > Yep, it'll work fine set as hidden. > > -- > Jonathan Kay > Microsoft MVP - Windows Live Messenger > MSN Messenger/Windows Messenger > MessengerGeek Blog: http://www.messengergeek.com > Messenger Resources: http://messenger.jonathankay.com > (c) 2008 Jonathan Kay - If redistributing, you must include this signature or citation > -- > > > > "xeriouxi" <xeriouxi@xxxxxx> wrote in message > news:06F2B13A-8963-4B81-A50A-4A5BA4995688@xxxxxx Quote: >> Hi! >> >> I use the Vista Contacts folder a lot, and I try to keep Live Messenger/Live >> Mail contacts seperate. | | Re: contactcoll.cache in Contacts folder? Hi! Yeah it's 8.5 that I'm using. It's not hidden it's just in the root of the Contacts folder but thanks for the info about hiding it! Much appreciated! =) "Jonathan Kay [MVP]" wrote: Quote: > Hi, > > Just to add, what version of Messenger are you using?
