Vista - adding contacts

adding contacts

I went thru my email address book & added address. I clicked on send
invitation. Will the people be sent a email telling to down windows live
messenger. If & when they download, will I know so I can I.M. them. When I
click on their name now it goes to a email page.

Sort of, when they sign up for an account and accept your add, you will just see them online.
