connection speed

Hi,

Sometimes i got a message during video chat that the internet connection
speed is low, so it can decrease the quality of the video.

At the same time this message appear, i was able to measure the connection
speed on a speedtest website. The connection speed was 620.0 KByte/sec.

Can somebody explain me how comes that WLM says that the connection is slow?
while the internet connections shows that it is high enough?

Can somebody explain me why I got this message, and the other party not?
Does it means that MY connection is not good?

Thanks for your help,

heian

ps, i'm sorry to ask so many questions in this forum, but i need to figure
out
why my WML is not working well. If there is someone willing to help me
via wml, please add me: th-ai-neth-athot-maildotcom (remove all the "- ")

RE: connection speed

Hi

I'm getting the same problem, it happens for a few hours, then goes away for
a while. Rebooting the machine and the router doesn't fix it. Bandwidth to
ISP is fine, both at my end and with the person at the other end.

If I test using say Skype, much more of my bandwidth is used (using BitMeter
to get a real-time graph of usage), so it does seem to be MSN
mis-understanding what bandwidth is available to it.

Any clue as to how to fix this?

Thanks

Rob
