| Re: Message history Greetings, You can adjust the message history location by opening any Messenger window, pressing the Alt key on the keyboard to bring up the menu bar, choosing the Tools menu, then Options, then Messages category and at the bottom, choose the Change button to change the folder. -- Jonathan Kay Microsoft MVP - Windows Live Messenger MSN Messenger/Windows Messenger MessengerGeek Blog: http://www.messengergeek.com Messenger Resources: http://messenger.jonathankay.com (c) 2008 Jonathan Kay - If redistributing, you must include this signature or citation -- "dndkent" <dndkent@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:EF0E3C7F-E621-4EAA-A019-CCE834A9CB4D@xxxxxx

| Re: Message history Ok I got that but I want to put them in a word file so that I can print them off. How do I do that? Cause right clicking after I highlight them doesn't work. "Jonathan Kay [MVP]" wrote:

| Re: Message history Hi, You can print them directly from the history viewer window in Messenger by just clicking inside on the text and pressing Ctrl-P on the keyboard. Although if you want to, you could also copy/paste to Word by using Ctrl-C (copy) and Ctrl-V (paste) as opposed to right-clicking (which is disabled). Finally, you could open them directly into Word as they're just XML files by noting the folder listed in the dialog in my previous message, opening it up in Explorer, right-clicking on the file in question (the file names are based on the Live ID's e-mail), choosing Open With and then choosing Word. You'll also have to choose the MessageLog.xsl to format it (where prompted). -- Jonathan Kay Microsoft MVP - Windows Live Messenger MSN Messenger/Windows Messenger MessengerGeek Blog: http://www.messengergeek.com Messenger Resources: http://messenger.jonathankay.com (c) 2008 Jonathan Kay - If redistributing, you must include this signature or citation -- "dndkent" <dndkent@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:AD5A14EE-9BEC-4F9F-855A-E7DBFB47302C@xxxxxx
