Orange Asterisk

In the Windows Live Messenger main window, some of my contacts have an
orange asterisk under the little green man icon. What does it mean?

Hi Steve -

What you are seeing designates a contact who has updated their Windows Live
Space recently or has updated their contact/profile information.
