There are times when i know she is online. Ican view her webcam. She can't
see mine. I click on accounts and click on show my webcam. What more am I
supposed to do? My microphone settings are in the yellow range when i talk

Re: problems with webcam

Greetings,

They're both fully compatible actually -- with the exception of some really old versions, but
you'll be notified of that and it won't let you complete the call.

Re: problems with webcam

Greetings Louise,

This is a really lousy suggestion I admit, but generally these problems can be caused by
network issues. Guiding you through them will be painful and probably not very fun.

Instead, you might just want to try another product for voice/video like Skype
(www.skype.com) and see what your results are with that application.

Re: problems with webcam

I've given up on trying totalk with the web cam but i have another problem.
When i click on my friends name it always says she's offline. I know she is
online. When she contacts me i go to accounts and click on show my webcam She
gets the message on her computer but she cannot accept. i get the same
message from her and i click on accept. Mine is in blue.hers is black. i see
her on my computer but she never sees me. If i click the little camera under
my windows picture the message comes up that i have stopped her from viewing
me. Then it says something about my camera is being used in another program
or is not plgged in.
Both of us are very frustrated. Can anyone give us detailed instructions on
what we are suppose to do when we use our webcams? we are both novices with
computers.
