| | Live Messenger Where in (the registry) does Live Messenger Store all Settings info including sign in data? This info is not removed when uninstalling Messenger as it is still there when reinstalling. |

| | Re: Live Messenger Greetings, It doesn't use the registry exclusively -- there's also its own folder within the your profile's local application data folder. Additionally, for sign-in data it uses your standard Windows crypto store. To show this, click Start, then Run (if using XP), type "control userpasswords2" and hit Enter. Choose the Advanced tab, then Manage Passwords. You'll see them listed there. You could remove it from that dialog -- but, you could just click the 'Forget me' link in the main Messenger sign-in screen to accomplish the same thing.
