Live Messenger

Where in (the registry) does Live Messenger Store all Settings info
including sign in data?
This info is not removed when uninstalling Messenger as it is still there
when reinstalling.

Re: Live Messenger

Greetings,

It doesn't use the registry exclusively -- there's also its own folder within the your
profile's local application data folder. Additionally, for sign-in data it uses your
standard Windows crypto store.

To show this, click Start, then Run (if using XP), type "control userpasswords2" and hit
Enter. Choose the Advanced tab, then Manage Passwords. You'll see them listed there. You
could remove it from that dialog -- but, you could just click the 'Forget me' link in the
main Messenger sign-in screen to accomplish the same thing.

Are you looking for something else?

Re: Live Messenger

Yes, I am looking to find where Messenger stores Volume values for MIC and
Speaker as I had the rubberband volume problem always dropping back to Zero
...... Thanks Jonathan.
