Vista - Live Messenger disconnects when opening message window

Running Windows Live Messenger V, 8.5 with ZA Security suite V7. When Live
Messenger is signed in it remains connected and stable but if I open a window
to type an Instant Message Live Messenger disconnects after exactly 7 seconds
without fail whether actually typing or not.
All of the recommended setting to allow Windows Live Messnger in ZA Firewall
and AV program controls have been made but the problem persists. Also Windows
Live Messenger is in the Trusted sites of ZA.
All other functions, contacts, email notifications work OK it is only the
disconnection on opening an IM window that causes the disconnection probelm.
Any suggestions more than welcome.

Been awhile since anyone posted a ZA problem but in years gone past my suggestion has been to
disable or even complete remove it as a starting point (just to verify that ZA is indeed the
cause of the problem) and then reinstall it and go from there.
