| | Appearing offline I have a few contacts that show up as offline even when they are online. When I right click to send an offline message it doesn't give me the option. The only option is to send an email. 2 of the contacts work for microsoft. I'm a hotmail acct and they are microsoft. What's the problem? We can't figure it out! I've unistalled/installed several times. Any suggestions? |

| | Re: Appearing offline Greetings, You might need to "re-establish" the relationship between you and them. To do so, delete them from your contact list and then have them delete you from theirs. Then press Alt to bring up the menu bar, choose Tools, then Options, then Privacy category. Find her on the Allow list, right-click their name and choose Delete. If the Delete option is grayed out, then they've not yet deleted you from her contact list. After this, simply re-add them and more than likely everything will start working again. -- Jonathan Kay Microsoft MVP - Windows Live Messenger MSN Messenger/Windows Messenger MessengerGeek Blog: http://www.messengergeek.com Messenger Resources: http://messenger.jonathankay.com (c) 2008 Jonathan Kay - If redistributing, you must include this signature or citation -- "carwieland" <carwieland@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:84BB0601-36BC-4A4F-B638-25D89CF5B44F@xxxxxx Quote: > I have a few contacts that show up as offline even when they are online. > When I right click to send an offline message it doesn't give me the option. > The only option is to send an email. 2 of the contacts work for microsoft. > I'm a hotmail acct and they are microsoft.
