logging on and off repeatedly

am running messenger live 8.5 on xp home sp2 computer, messenger is logging
off and on over and over, tried uninstalling and re-installing it today,
seemed to be ok for a couple of hours, now it's happening again.

Re: logging on and off repeatedly

Greetings,

Most of the time what you're referring to is caused by a router or some other similar network
device on your network. Sometimes the problem can be resolved simply but upgraded said
devices' firmware from the router manufacturer -- especially if you're using a wireless
connection.

Re: logging on and off repeatedly

Am using verizon fios and they gave me a new router 2 weeks ago, no problem
till now, I also log thru a vpn network at times and this connection has not
been affected. BTW, it is a wireless router, but this computer is connected
by ethernet cable..thanks
