Entire contact list appears offline after changing Live email addr

As the subject states, I changed my Live email address (from one non-hotmail
account to another) and completed the verification. However, now my contact
list appears offline, and I cannot receive emails! Actually, ONE of my
contacts is appearing online, which makes this even more confusing.

It's been 2 days, and no amount of searching is coming up with a solution
(although plenty of other people are having the exact same problem, so far a
solution has not been found).

Help please!

Greetings,

If it's been two days, I suggest you switch your address back and then switch it again.
Sometimes it takes two tries for this to be successful.

I tried switching back, and the contact list is still there. However, when I
tried switching to the new email again, it's still an empty list!

Hi,

It generally will take up to two days for it to transfer actually. It's not an instant
process I'm afraid.
