Vista - It won't let me download windows live messenger

I uninstalled my Windows Live Messenger because for some reason on any other
computer, my whole buddy list comes up, but on mine only 3 of them come out.
Every time I try to download Windows Live Messenger back, it complete's the
first part, but when I click run everything dissappears. It never goes to the
installation part. Can anyone tell me how I can?
