Problem - typed message not visible in conversation window

I have a friend who is having a problem with his Conversation Window. When he
is typing in a message to send, it does not appear visible in the window and
he cannot see what he is typing. However, when he hits enter key or or clicks
send, the message appears but is also then sent. Have looked at fonts,
backgrounds, etc, but all appears normal. Have also "repaired" via the Add &
Remove Programs in Control Panel, but this has not solved the problem either.
Any ideas on how to solve the problem

RE: Problem - typed message not visible in conversation window

We are having the same problem. I have also looked at the fonts and have done
the "repair" but still now luck. We even removed the program and reinstalled
it. The handwriting feature and the emoticon's work. We can see both of those
but no text. For what its worth, I am glad to see someone else is also having
this problem. I saw somewhere, on a blog, that it was a "bug" and MS was
aware of it but I dont remember where the blog was. I know it was in Live
Messenger support but no luck locating it again.

RE: Problem - typed message not visible in conversation window

Ok, found the web address for the blog entry from MS.
http://messengersays.spaces.live.com/ check it out. I wish they would get it
fixed. My friend has to go into her "view message history" to read her IM's.
A pain in the

Does this issue still exist after upgrading to the latest Windows Live
Messenger Beta?
