Hello everyone

I am new to this forum and I really hope you can help me!!

My daughter is having problems with messenger live 8.5 not a beta version, she can log on to messenger with no problems but as soon as she tries to talk to someone or someone tries to talk to her messenger crashes with a screen that says the following:

Windows Live Messenger has stopped working
the problem has caused the programme to stop working correctly
windows will close the programme and notify you if a solution is
available.

we have tried uninstalling Messenger and reinstalling it.
turned of norton

but nothing seems to work please can someone help?

she is running vista home premium UK version
norton antivirus
and i think windows firewall

any Ideas are welcome
