ie 7 and windows live msgr

Has anyone ever had or know of anyone who has had problems of crashing when
you open more than 2 tabs on internet explorer WHILE having windows live
messenger open. Its fine if you have only 2 tabs open. If more than that,
everything crashes.
and Hi Jonathan !

Thanks Susie

Re: ie 7 and windows live msgr

Greetings there Susie,

By 'everything' do you mean Windows itself (aka blue screen) or just the applications, or
something else?
Also, does this still happen after a reboot?

Re: ie 7 and windows live msgr

Hi Jonathan ! Usually is starts in IE, goes unresponsive - and may or may
not take msgr down with it. Takes long time for task manager to close out
IE. Then windows live will shut down. And yes it happens after a reboot too.

Thanks Susie :-)

Re: ie 7 and windows live msgr

Hi Susie,

I'm taking yet another guess here, but it could be possible that some add-on you have in IE
is trying to access the Messenger API and failing for some reason -- that certainly can
generate what you're explaining here.

To test this theory, click Start, then All Programs, then Accessories, then System Tools and
choose Internet Explorer (No Add-ons). After that IE comes up, go to some web sites, open a
few tabs and see if you can duplicate the problem.
