Re: 'My Sharing Folders' what for?

Hi again - my tools only has 'Folder Options' and this one is not there!
It's actually a shortcut to 'My Sharing Folders' which now appears in 'My
Computer' along side my Nomad Explorer but it can't hold any files I may
create! Each time I open my hotmail it creates a new shortcut in 'My
Documents'. I attemted to redirect these short cuts to my Spy & Virus folder
on desktop but got into a right mess and have ended up with a folder that
can't be deleted because Windows needs it to work properly!! What a
carry-on, may have to uninstasll it - seem to be doingthis a lot lately. Is
it me or are there issues with sp3 and the new security updates? Many
Thanks - Ying

Re: 'My Sharing Folders' what for?

Thanks for that Michael. No it was the bleedin' shortcut to 'My Sharing
Folders' that were bothering me - couldn't redirect them elsewhere!
I've uninstalled MSN Live Messenger now, and how my Hotmail has speeded up!
I don't need to clutter my PC with useless folders and shortcuts!
Can you suggest an earlier version of MSN Messenger? if it is obtainable
that is!
THanks again - Ying

Re: 'My Sharing Folders' what for?

Greetings,

As long as you're not using Vista, you can use 7.0:
http://microsoft.com/downloads/detai...4-9505F47BED45

Although you'll still see the small delay in Hotmail. The delay is caused because Hotmail
checks to see if your Hotmail contacts are online via Messenger.
