| | Complaints about Windows Live Why does Microsoft have to make creating a Messenger account so bleeping complicated??? I have dcs.79c@xxxxxx. I tried to create dcs.79c@xxxxxx, but Live doesn't like passport.com. I tried creating dcs.79c@xxxxxx & was told that I already have a Live account. I'm trying to set up Messenger so I can use my webcam, but Live is being a major pain in the ***!!! I just want to start all over again. How do I delete the dcs.79c@xxxxxx & start all over again? The window told me that a confirmation e-mail was sent to dcs.79c@xxxxxx, but I don't know how to receive the e-mail. I want to try out my webcam, but I can't because Live is being a major pain in the ***. |

You won't need to create a new account, if you have an EXISTING email account of any of the following types: name@xxxxxx name@xxxxxx or name@xxxxxx name@xxxxxx or name@xxxxxx. If you don't have an email account with one of these types, you should visit http://get.live.com/mail/options and sign up for a new one - opt for the Windows Live Services (including Hotmail) option. Then open Messenger. If Messenger signs in automatically to a passport identity, click on File, followed by Sign Out. This will take you back to a sign-in screen. Type your email account details & password. (If you have an existing msn, hotmail or live email account, type that email address. Otherwise, enter details for the account you have just created.) Tick the boxes to "Remember me", "Remember my password" and "Sign me in automatically". Then click on log-in. This should enable you to use all features of Windows Live Messenger. The next step will be to abandon the dcs.79c@xxxxxx address. Simply stop using it. I don't have a web-cam, so I can't advise how to set up or use your webcam. |

I finally figured out how to cancel my dcs.79c@xxxxxx(notice the single "s"). I created a new hotmail account & Live actually liked it! I still don't know if I've set up the webcam & Messenger correctly. "locoeng" wrote: Quote: > > You can use any email address AFAIK with WLM. I personally use my gmail > account. Somehow, I found out how to close dcs.79c@xxxxxx. Don't ask me how. I got lucky. I don't know if I could reproduce what I did to cancel the account.
