Please help I already have a hotmail account and I want to download the
messenger but it won't let me. I tried many time but it didn't. It gave me
error message like this,


SYSTEM ERROR DETAILS

ERROR ox80070659 - THIS INSTALLATION IS FORBIDDEN BY SYSTEM POLICY. CONTACT
YOUR SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR.



I'm the only user and administrator and i'm using Windows Vista. Please help.

I have the same problem unable to install MSN messenger, keep getting error message 0x80070659 - how did you solve the problem

Did you resolve this yet, mine is doing the same?

I am having the same problem, I have a brand new computer and can even
download and install skype but not microsoft instant messanger live. I can
find no help on the help site, or through google. Help!!!

There is a trick to it. Download the installer file to your desktop or
somewhere, then right click on the file and choose "Run as administrator".
Otherwise the installer throws an error even if you are a member of the local
administrators group.
