| | Trouble adding a contact with a Yahoo email addy Hi. I added a new contact to my Windows Live Messenger earlier and we were chatting. I lost power here, and when it came back on, I relogged in Windows Messenger and the contact was gone. When I tried to re-enter their email address to add them again, it said this person has to have a .net passport account. This was strange because we were talking earlier just fine. What happened? I don't want to make them have to sign up with MSN to chat with me and I don't want to use Yahoo messenger. Any help is appreciated. |

| | Re: Trouble adding a contact with a Yahoo email addy Greetings, The Yahoo interoptability isn't that reliable and is frequently down or malfunctioning. That said, I suggest you just try again. Also, just to double-check, the format for adding a yahoo contact is YahooID@xxxxxx. -- Jonathan Kay Microsoft MVP - Windows Live Messenger MSN Messenger/Windows Messenger MessengerGeek Blog: http://www.messengergeek.com Messenger Resources: http://messenger.jonathankay.com (c) 2008 Jonathan Kay - If redistributing, you must include this signature or citation -- "sweetgal" <sweetgal@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:77E0132F-C66E-42E5-B9F9-4CE7E0217B48@xxxxxx Quote: > Hi. > > I added a new contact to my Windows Live Messenger earlier and we were > chatting.
