| | WLM 9 Beta Message window does not auto scroll I just downloaded the beta on my Windows vista Ultimate 64bit edition and i notice that the message window does not auto scroll when new messages are received. I have to manually scroll down to see new messages. It happens when in a video call. |

| | Re: WLM 9 Beta Message window does not auto scroll Greetings, This happened to me once, I sent a message and then it started working normal. Haven't been able to reproduce it though. -- Jonathan Kay Microsoft MVP - Windows Live Messenger MSN Messenger/Windows Messenger MessengerGeek Blog: http://www.messengergeek.com Messenger Resources: http://messenger.jonathankay.com (c) 2008 Jonathan Kay - If redistributing, you must include this signature or citation -- "Jalary" <Jalary@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:7ABBF8CF-566B-475C-9043-3B5211036974@xxxxxx Quote: > I just downloaded the beta on my Windows vista Ultimate 64bit edition and i > notice that the message window does not auto scroll when new messages are > received. | | Re: WLM 9 Beta Message window does not auto scroll It happen to me several times already. When it happen and the other side say something, the text simply don't scroll automatically. And if I write something after, it doesn't scroll too. It's borring like the missing send button (always have to click "Enter"). It's another step backward. 2 problems in an area supposed to let us focus on the talk only. Not good and disturbing, to check many times if we are reading the last comment and to leave the mouse to click on the keyboard. At least, on 8.5, we choose wich one to use on diferent situations. I hope you are just doing a nice "Send" button ![]() "Jonathan Kay [MVP]" <msnewsreplies@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:eMsc1mTGJHA.2508@xxxxxx Quote: > Greetings, > > This happened to me once, I sent a message and then it started working > normal. | | RE: WLM 9 Beta Message window does not auto scroll The problem is that the auto-scroll feature is disabled when the scroll is somewhere else than the bottom. This a nice feature. But, if you scroll all the way down, the auto-scroll shoud be reactivated. Now, it is only activated when you press the (arrow with dash) button under the scroll.
