| | Problems with Colour in WLM 9 Firstly i set a theme for my main contact list window and everything is fine, when i come to selecting the default colour in a conversation window it shows the colour that is identical to the colour scheme of the theme or the colour in the main contact window but when selected it changes to the windows live colour instead of the default colour of the main contact list window. |

| | Re: Problems with Colour in WLM 9 Hi Pri, Thanks much for your feedback! To your first question, you will set a scene from your main window as well as a complimentary color, this will reflect on your main window (Me Area and color for the rest of the window) and your contact's conversation windows (You Area and color for the rest of the window). You will in exchange see your contact's scene and color of choice in every conversation window. If your contact hasn't set any color (or hasn't upgraded to Beta) then you will see the Windows Live blue color as it is the default. The second issue you reported is being taken care of. | | Re: Problems with Colour in WLM 9 But what if i want to choose the color myself I liked the beta released in august or so cuz it let me change the color Id choose the color based on their hair color or style etc. and not everyone picks a scene that reflects their personality, some just use the deafult or a landscape. Give us the option, please Also, my computer wont let me install messenger at ALL after i tried uninstalling the new version (didnt work) then install the beta. i need to clear my comp of windows live, completely, especially windows live contacts, how do i do it? | | Re: Problems with Colour in WLM 9 Hi, I miss the custom colour I can set too. What exactly is happening when you try to install the older version? By the contacts, do you mean you wish to clear them entirely on the server or just the stored contact cache for some reason? If the latter, the "Windows Live Contacts" folder can be deleted by doing the following: Shut Messenger down and then head over the following folder; On XP you can find this folder at: \Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft On Vista, you'll find it at: \Users\username\AppData\Local\Microsoft Where username is your Windows username. Additionally, some of these folders will be hidden by default, to see them simply press the Alt key on the keyboard in any Windows Explorer window to bring up the toolbar, click Tools, then Folder Options, then the View tab, and then choose 'Show hidden files and folders'. After click OK, they should appear with the other folders. -- Jonathan Kay Microsoft MVP - Windows Live Messenger MSN Messenger/Windows Messenger MessengerGeek Blog: http://www.messengergeek.com Messenger Resources: http://messenger.jonathankay.com (c) 2009 Jonathan Kay - If redistributing, you must include this signature or citation -- "Headphoneguy" <Headphoneguy@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:41378775-028F-4865-9ED7-50A6E64B7CA8@xxxxxx Quote: > But what if i want to choose the color myself > I liked the beta released in august or so cuz it let me change the color > > Id choose the color based on their hair color or style etc. > and not everyone picks a scene that reflects their personality, some just > use the deafult or a landscape. > > Give us the option, please > > Also, my computer wont let me install messenger at ALL after i tried > uninstalling the new version (didnt work) then install the beta. > i need to clear my comp of windows live, completely, especially windows live > contacts, how do i do it? > > "Marisol Ontaneda [MSFT]" wrote: > Quote: >> Hi Pri, >> >> Thanks much for your feedback! | | Re: Problems with Colour in WLM 9 I have WLM 2009, and something happened to the color scheme! It is SERIOUSLY screwed up. When I click on the button "Launch the colorizer" all my colors are just border colors. The inside of all the boxes are white. Reading my emai is EXTREMELY hard. This sux. My email selection screen has ALL GREY text color. If I click on a row to read an email, the color changes to more of a darker kind of grey. Give me a break! I want the old color scheme back, but there is now way anywhere to pick a default color scheme! AAAAARRRRRGGGGGGG! "Headphoneguy" wrote: Quote: > So?
