| | Messenger 9 emoticons Even though it said that I could use emoticons and it was turned on everywhere I saw the options 98% of mind did not work. I am now using 8.5 and am happy to have it back. I am glad to have Microsoft follow how I use Messenger and IE but I am not really into trying to help design them. |

| | Re: Messenger 9 emoticons Jonathan - Contacts don't see the custom emoticons. I have been testing with different logins and they don't come through. I send a message to a different Live ID using custom emoticons and when I sign in with that Live ID, all I see is the text, not the emoticon. -- ©LarryEº "Jonathan Kay [MVP]" <msnewsreplies@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:OARP7PFIJHA.4080@xxxxxx Quote: > Hi, > > Just to be clear, your contact does see them, it's just you that doesn't. > So, you just have to pretend they're there. > > -- > Jonathan Kay > Microsoft MVP - Windows Live Messenger > MSN Messenger/Windows Messenger > MessengerGeek Blog: http://www.messengergeek.com > Messenger Resources: http://messenger.jonathankay.com > (c) 2008 Jonathan Kay - If redistributing, you must include this signature > or citation > -- > > > "rogerpost" <rogerpost@xxxxxx> wrote in message > news:8DD99565-447B-4F2D-844A-6A896A198940@xxxxxx Quote: >> Thanks I think that is what I was referring to also and I will look >> forward >> to an improved Messender 2009.
