I was using Messenger 8.5 earlier, and I have the option to log all the
messages activated.
I finished chatting to a contact, then later looked at the message history
to check something, and the discussion we had had earlier did not appear in
the history.
Can I recover this from somewhere?
The message had some important information in it.

I have the same problem. It happened with both of my conversations last
night. My status was on 'appear offline'. Now I'm not a computer genius, but
I do think this must be the case. I have never had this problem with other
versions. This was the second day of using this version. If my theory is
correct (which hey it may not) then its RIDICULOUS! Why would someone make a
person 'appear online' to save messages?
