Vista Tutorial - Question about Display alerts....

Im running windows live messenger version 8.1

and I have checked display alerts when contact comes online, but is there a
disply alert with contact signs off?? its peeving to run across something you
want to share and go to type in the chatwindow, only to find that they have
signed off and you werent notify'd :/ is there is not such a option in
messenger or is there a 'add-in' thingy that notifys when your buddies
sign-off? where may I find such a thing

Messenger can't do this, but Messenger Plus Live can (a third party addition to Messenger),
which you can find here:
http://www.msgplus.net

By default (unless you modify it), Plus will provide you with an alert when contacts go
offline but only those you presently are in a conversation open with -- which is probably
exactly what you want.
