| | Re: Going to Vista 64Bit Greetings, Messenger will work fine of course, but runs as a 32-bit application. Besides the drivers though, another possible thing to look out for is 16-bit applications, as they're no longer supported. Also if you have certain shell extensions you might depend on in explorer (or codecs), you'll need 64-bit versions for them to work within the 64-bit Explorer. As for tricks, one thing you should be aware of is that "system32" contains the 64-bit windows executables/libraries and "syswow64" contains the 32-bit ones. A tad confusing, but something to be aware of depending on what you do with your PC. -- Jonathan Kay Microsoft MVP - Windows Live Messenger MSN Messenger/Windows Messenger MessengerGeek Blog: http://www.messengergeek.com Messenger Resources: http://messenger.jonathankay.com (c) 2008 Jonathan Kay - If redistributing, you must include this signature or citation -- "İLarryEş" <me@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:ujU26pNPJHA.3748@xxxxxx Anything special I need to watch out for?
