messenger 2009 beta

recently i downloaded windows live messenger 2009 beta on my laptop and it disabled my internet explorer, i tested this out on my computer to be sure of this and after discovering so i uninstalled it from the computer, i then typed in the code to un-install messenger manually and internet explorer is still not coming on, what should i do?

Greetings Eby,

What exactly happens when you start IE? As a quick fix though, you may just want to use
System Restore to restore your computer back before you installed Windows Live Messenger
2009. To do so if using XP, click Start, then Help & Support, and then 'Undo changes to my
computer using System Restore'. If using Vista, click Start, type System Restore and click
System Restore when it pops up.
