Messenger History function has disappeared

My computer crashed and I had to return to factory settings. Subsequently
my messenger history, which had worked previously, no longer worked. On
seeing the advice below a few minutes ago, I downloaded Messenger Plus!
Live, but on attempting to install it received the message "Infection Trojan
horse Generic.IFA". I have now sent it to the Vault. Can't I use this
addition?

Thanks, JD

Re: Messenger History function has disappeared

Greetings Jane,

I'm not sure why you're seeing that, but one thing that is often incorrectly identified is
Messenger Plus' advertising sponsor program. The sponsor program is completely optional (you
are forced to choose either Yes or No during the install) and the application will work
exactly the same regardless if it's installed or not. You may want to go through the
installer again and not choose to install the sponsor for better luck.

Re: Messenger History function has disappeared

Thanks Jonathan. I've re-installed it as you suggested with no problems.
Now to see if it works... Thanks again. JD

Re: Messenger History function has disappeared

Yes, it works fine - you're a star! The only problem (which I had before)
is that when I leave a message to be passed on when the contact is online -
he/she never gets it. But I can live with that. JD
