| | Re: start up screen Greetings Ben, This is by design. Windows XP will show you the e-mail of everyone who's signed in on your Windows user account. To disable this feature, download the TweakUI powertoy: http://microsoft.com/windowsxp/downl...powertoys.mspx (see on the right). After you have TweakUI installed, click Start, All Programs, Powertoys for Windows XP, and choose TweakUI for Windows XP. In the TweakUI window, on the left, click the '+' next to Logon, and choose Unread Mail. Uncheck 'Show unread mail on Welcome screen' and click OK. -- Jonathan Kay Microsoft MVP - Windows Live Messenger MSN Messenger/Windows Messenger MessengerGeek Blog: http://www.messengergeek.com Messenger Resources: http://messenger.jonathankay.com (c) 2008 Jonathan Kay - If redistributing, you must include this signature or citation -- "ben29" <ben29@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:F5644D64-6FF8-40CA-87C5-18A7EED5A067@xxxxxx Quote: > someone else logged in to their hotmail on my user account now every time i > turn my computer on my user account shows how many messages she has got even > though my account has been logged on how do i change this |
