Vista - Annoying Alert (WLM9b)

On WLMessenger 9 beta, each time a contact sends me a link, a yellow alert
bar will appear saying my computer may become at risk if I click the link.

I know about the dangers of links and that message is quite annoying, as it
will stay there until I close the conversation window.

Is there anyway to disable this message?

I believe the only way to do this at the moment is to use a custom Messenger Plus skin along
with the beta version of Messenger Plus Live.

To do so, install Plus beta from here:
http://mirror3.msgpluslive.net/MsgPlusLive-479.exe

Then install the skin by downloading and running the file here::
http://www.msgpluslive.net/skins/view/124-Sopair

When the Import Skin window appears, unselect 'Enable this skin after import' and choose the
Import button. Now open the main Messenger window contact list, press the Alt key on the
keyboard to bring up the menu bar, choose the Plus! menu, and then Preferences & Options.

Choose the Customize tab, then the Skins option on the side. Click the checkbox next to
Sopair 2.0.0 and then choose Skin's Options. If you want everything to be virtually the same
as before, unselect all options and choose 'New Messenger Style' under the Chat Windows
Layout. Finally, choose the 'Hide information bar' option, as that's the key to what you're
doing. Then click OK, and OK again. You'll be prompted to restart Messenger, do so.

Thanks for quick reply. The last time I tried to install a Messenger Add-on
program it also installed a bunch of adware. Is this program you are
indicating 100% safe, are there any boxes that should be unchecked during
installation (I think the problem the other time was that I should have
unchecked a box about installing some extra service...)

That is exactly you have to do. Read carefully the installation options and
do not install the sponsor program.

Still, I wonder If there is a easiear way to solve this without having to
install a new skin. A checkbox should do it.

I think what you're referring to is the "sponsor program" that is offered during the Plus
installation. Simply select No when asked and it will not install any of it that stuff.
