| | Windows Mobile Messenger "problem with the server" Hi, I have been having a lot of trouble recently with Windows Live for Windows Mobile. I am unable to sign into messenger because of an error message "There is a problem with the server". After a long and ultimately fruitless email discussion with Windows Live Support, they eventually suggested that I upgrade to the latest Windows Live for Windows Mobile which does not include Messenger. Clearly this is a ridiculous suggestion. I created a new Windows Live account and migrated all my contacts, and this new account worked for a few days on mobile Messenger before starting to display the same error on login. I have a feeling that the error may be related to Messenger Beta's multiple places feature, because when I attempt (unsuccessfully) to sign in on my mobile, I am signed out of Messenger Beta on the desktop with the message "you have signed into messenger on too many other computers". Please if anyone can offer any advice I would be most grateful. Mobile Messenger is one of the main reasons I spend the extra to buy premium Windows Mobile devices, and this problem is extremely frustrating. Many thanks, Matt Sharpe |

| | Re: Windows Mobile Messenger "problem with the server" i have the very same problem. got my first windows mobile phone, really thrilled by live contacts and email sync, but messenger never worked. probably has to do with me using live messenger 9 beta which probably changed something in my account... i just managed to login to my secondary live ccount which i basically dont use, and that one works. probably cause i never logged in to live messenger 9 with that one... anyone knows how to circumvent this problem? is there any update for live messenger on windows mobile? i can only find a download for an app without messenger... ![]() s.
