Re: WLM "Windows Live Messenger Has Stopped Working"

Hi,

If it "just started" yesterday, I'd suggest you first try System Restore as it's a lot easier
and a quicker fix than anything else I can personally offer.

If you're using Windows XP, you can find System Restore by going to Start, then Help &
Support, and then 'Undo changes to my computer using System Restore'. Under Vista you can
get to System Restore by clicking the Start button, typing in System Restore and clicking the
option when it appears. In either case, simply choose a restore point on a recent day/time
when you knew Messenger was working.

Re: WLM "Windows Live Messenger Has Stopped Working"

Same thing just happend to me... and i uninstalled WLM (widows live messenger) and downloaded it again but the same thing happend. i even restarted and did the same thing all over..
at the end i found it was because i downloaded some bandoo (smiley app), after i deleted it everything was fine.

try and remember if there was anything you downloaded just before it stopped working, maybe that is the problem...hope it helps anyone who is in the same position.

Hi,

Very true. Also, the kiwee toolbar has also been found to be problematic too.
