| | WLM error 81000451 and Live Groups Hi, I blocked a test group in Windows Live Messenger and then couldn't log in to Messenger, this is a known issue which MS is looking into. Thanks to Nick H. [MSFT] and a link he posted to a KB article, I was able to log in to Messenger again and remove the group. Link to Nick H.'s post (see the second post by Nick): http://tinyurl.com/5pc2x3 Direct link to KB article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/958574 The instructions worked, I was able to again sign in to Live Messenger but the test group I created was still there -- and I wanted it gone! -- so what I did was, I right-clicked the group in Live Messenger, select Change settings, which took me to Live Groups and then I deleted the group and the group was removed from Live Messenger. I hope this helps, Sterling -- Windows XP (SP3) Media Center Edition IE8 Beta 2 (w/IE7Pro) WLM Beta (Gmail POP3) Windows Live OneCare |
