Chat logs on MSN PLUS LIVE Version 4.70.0/334

I have been monitoring my childs chat logs but somehow she is deleting them,
this is really important i find a way in which i can make sure she does not
delete them,

You are scum.
You need to stop ****ing over your daughter's chat logs.

Uhhhh... not the most helpful of replies I must admit.

Well, as far as I know messenger stores these logs within your personal
profile folder, therefore the current user has exclusive access over them
and rightly so too.

The only thing I can think of doing off the top of my head would be to have
some kind of Windows Service running on all accounts the monitors the
history folder for changes then stores a backup of the files elsewhere.

Personally speaking, I think trust is the key here, and you're abusing that
completely. If you don't trust your daughter you might want to talk to her,
rather than spying on her as you will only loose face

he does have a point though, i'd hate it if my folks read through all of my chat logs, being protective is one thing, but it gets to a point where one is just plain snooping.....but to answer your question, i think there are applications which enable you to copy files after modification ? loads of java applications available on CNET
