| Vista Home Premium x64 | Re: Windows Live Communications Platform Has Stopped Working Oh, I've also just determined that, while I can't sign in to my own Windows Live Messenger account on the Administrator's account (the one I use all the time), I can sign in to a newly created WLM account. Also, if I try signing on to my regular WLM while on the guest account, I can do so without a problem. Please, help me! |

| Vista Home Premium 64 Bit | Re: Windows Live Communications Platform has stopped working. I have VISTA Home Premium and my windows live messenger was working just fine until I was forced to take this stupid update that screws it right up! Obviously I am not the only one!! I tried this useless update twice prior to this as well and had the same results with the program refusing to start! Surely with so many people having this same or similar problem they will fix the issue!! I have all of my contacts and emails in there and I need to get at them. They obviously knew of this problem prior to this forced update and have not made a fix for it yet - This Really Sucks! | vista home premium x64 | Re: Windows Live Communications Platform has stopped working. Please follow the steps below to resolve this issue. 1. Update F - Secure Internet Security (if you have it on your machine): If you have F-Secure Internet Security 2008, update it to the latest version (F-Secure Internet Security 2009). For additional information about updating your F-Secure software, please contact their support team: http://www.f-secure.com/en_EMEA/support/home-office/contact-support/ 2. Temporarily disable NVIDIA Network Access Manager (if you have it on your machine): 1.Press CTRL + ALT + DELETE key, click Task Manager 2.On the Windows Task Manager window, click the Process tab. 3.Under Image Name, locate Nsvcappflt.exe and click the End Process button. 4.Click Yes to confirm. 5.Sign in to Windows Live Messenger. Note: For uninstalling Nvidia Network Access Manager from your computer, please contact your computer manufacturer for further assistance. 3. Check for third party DLLs and remove them: There are DLL files, either related to 3rd party programs or malwares, which may trigger Windows Live Communication Platform Error. Please refer to the list below: · BHOCITEU.DLL · BHOCITUS.DLL · BHOECART.DLL · BHOSSAFE.DLL · EVENTDLL.DLL · HOOKTOOL.DLL · TMEEJDLL.DLL · TMEEJMD.DLL · UWEYIWE0.DLL · UWEYIWE1.DLL To check if any of the above DLL files are on your computer, follow these steps: 1.Click on the Start and click on Search 2.Click on All Files and Folders. 3.Click on more advanced options. 4.Put a check on "Search system folders" and "Search hidden files and folders". 5.For example, type in BHOCITEU.DLL on the search box then click on "Search". 6.Delete all files that you see with the name that you searched. 7.Repeat the steps for searching other DLL files listed above and delete them. 8.Restart your machine to ensure that the changes are replicated in the system 4. Bypass router: If you are connected through a router connection, try to bypass it and connect directly to your Internet modem. If the above steps do not resolve your issue, we would request you to collect the following logs and email it to us back at the earliest. Steps for collecting System Information: 1. For Windows XP and Windows 7: Click Start, and then click Run. In the Open box, type msinfo32, and then press ENTER on your keyboard to open the System Information window. For Windows Vista: Click on Start and then type msinfo32, and then press ENTER. Note: It may take several seconds for this information to be collected and displayed. 2. In the System Information window, click Save on the File menu. Save the file to a desired location. 3. Locate the file that you saved, right-click the file, select Send To, and then select Compressed (zipped) Folder. A compressed file is created in the same folder. Send the compressed file to us. Steps for collecting WL Setup log file: Browse to the follow location to get the WL setup log · WINDOWS XP: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\WLSetup · WINDOWS VISTA & WINDOWS 7 : C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\WLSetup Inside the WLSetup folder, look for the Logs folder. Please zip or compress a copy of the folder and attach it when you reply to this email. We will be waiting for your response so we can give you further troubleshooting steps if necessary.
