| | How to block Spammers and/or unknown persons? Hello, maybe someone from MS read this, if yes, this is a feature request. Imagine you be active in a lot of forums and websites and the choice "only from contacts on my contactlist" is not an option. What now? You get a message from harry, harry@xxxxxx, an invite to be friend from Harry, whatever... -Harry add no text to the message -Harry have an private or no profile -.... => Harry, who to hell is Harry? I hope someone see the point. My contactlist is filled up with contacts who never talked with me, they talked in an unintelligible language or they show me only websites about girls with very big t... , only a very few users are peoples from websites or forums. That's only annoying, no more. Yes I can remove them from my contactlist, but I can't delete them. I don't know the actual limit for all contacts, but I have at the moment approximately 400 contacts in my list, only 50 are "real" contacts. AND before I can remove them I must do some action, at least click on "OK" in diferent dialogs. Peter |

| | Re: How to block Spammers and/or unknown persons? Hi, I've gotten a lot more of this since the latest Live website updates. I dread to think how many of these request popups are hitting actual "popular" people. -- Jonathan Kay Microsoft MVP - Windows Live Messenger MSN Messenger/Windows Messenger MessengerGeek Blog: http://www.messengergeek.com Messenger Resources: http://messenger.jonathankay.com (c) 2008 Jonathan Kay - If redistributing, you must include this signature or citation -- "Peter Flindt" <newsgroups@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:upoCraDaJHA.5676@xxxxxx Quote: > Hello, > maybe someone from MS read this, if yes, this is a feature request. > > Imagine you be active in a lot of forums and websites and the choice > "only from contacts on my contactlist" is not an option. > > What now? > You get a message from harry, harry@xxxxxx, an invite to be friend > from Harry, whatever... > > -Harry add no text to the message > -Harry have an private or no profile > -.... > => Harry, who to hell is Harry? > > I hope someone see the point. And I must admit, I have no any idea about it. Maybe an option "Only from persons with a puplic profile" or the info textfield, when a person add another, must contain a text.
