Vista - Error Code: 800703e6

Using Windows 7 public beta, I installed messenger Version 2009 (Build
14.0.8050.1202). I then tried to sign in with my normal Live account
details, I inadvertently did a typo and it would not let me sign in, quite
normal so far, so I retyped my correct details and it threw up - We can't
sign you into Windows Live Messenger. Signing in to Windows Live Messenger
failed because the service is temporarily unavailable. Please try later.
Error Code: 800703e6.

I have tried over the past couple of days with the same result. Here is the
strange bit, I CAN sign into WLM with different user accounts on this
machine, and I CAN sign in with my usual account on other machines, so the
problem seems to be my usual account on this machine. Something must be
stored on this machine to prevent me from signing in with my usual account,
maybe because of my original typo.

Can anyone point me in the right direction to rectify this situation, any
and all help greatly appreciated.

I had to bite the bullet and reinstalled W7, beta, everything now works fine

Add a new String Value with your windows Live ID

Ps - worked out with assistance of MSN developers.

the live id you mean is the xxxxx@xxxxxxx.xxx ?

the key name is the live id or this is its value ?

Save this text as msn.reg and edit the myemail@hotmail.com to be whatever you login to msn with...

Double click the file and select merge registry file.

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

also, to keep this from happening, be sure to uncheck the options under security called this is a shared computer...thats what keeps removing the live id...but it shouldn't allow you to save your credentials...
