Vista - Windows Live Messenger Update Download Error

Ok soo one day i tried logging onto Windows Live Messenger but it said i had to download the newest version on W.L. Messenger to continue. sooo i download the update and EVERY time i get the following message:

Windows Live Upload Tool
Windows Live Communications Platform

Microsoft Application Error Reporting

(The Following paragraph is the same of ALL of the above)

Try installing Windows Live programs again. Programs were not installed because the installation was canceled. aborted:0x80004004

PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!

i get the exact same problem have u been able to fix it yet?

I have solve it before by reinstalling MsiInstaller. This problem keep
reoccuring though.
